Global Communications (CMM1003)

15 credits

Can everyone in the world communicate with everyone else equally? Do certain parts of the world direct the flow of communications? Through this module, you will gain understanding of multiple factors that (re)shape global communication, such as the spread of languages such as English, French and Spanish through colonialism; translation; migration; and communication within the ‘Global South’.

This module is open to students on interdisciplinary pathways and does not require knowledge of any languages.
